smart is a car brand founded in 1994 under the umbrella of Daimler AG. The two-seat smart fortwo appeared in 1998, followed later by the five-door forfour. From 2018, the first step towards becoming a purely electric brand was taken. Since 2022, smart has had a battery-electric crossover SUV under the name “#1” and will introduce further new models.
