Before its takeover by Renault in 1999, Dacia was still largely unknown in Western Europe. The breakthrough came in 2004 with the Logan notchback model, which impressed with a very good price-performance ratio. Even today, the brand consistently focuses on the lower price segment, from the Sandero small car to the compact Duster SUV.
